It's a real nuisance to collect the leaves that fall from the trees. Here's a photo of my leaf collection mechanism. You can open the image in a new tab to see more details.
From left to right the components are:
The Toro ShredzAll UltraPlus Blower Vac came with a leaf collector bag which then needs to be emptied. It works but is a nuisance when you are collecting a lot of leaves. I purchased the Toro Leaf Collector accessory which makes things a lot simpler. The shroud has a sleeve at the bottom edge with a rope and a tightener that fits around below the rim of the garbage can. It is very difficult to get it tight and the shroud would often blow off the garbage can. I got some heavy coated wire and the clothesline tightener and fed the wire through the sleeve in the shroud and looped it around the garbage pail below the handles. It works really well but I do have to make sure the wire is really tight. I also need to use the bungee cords to hold the garbage pail upright on the cart.
The pole you see is the handle for the leaf tamper. After pushing the shroud down into the garbage pail so that the leaf shreds are below the top of the pail I loosen the wire and remove the shroud. I then tamp down the leaves to make sure the pail is full. Then I put the lid on the garbage pail. I set the blower vac and shroud aside, unhook the power cord from the wagon and then drag the cart to where I want to store the garbage pail full of leaf cuttings. Then I get another garbage pail and lid and set it up for the next session.
All in all it has worked out for the most part. It does reduce the work involved. I don't have to rake leaves. I don't have to put them in leaf bags or garbage pails by hand.
